Tail Replacement

Step 1: Remove Existing Tail

Remove the existing tail by pulling the head of the quid skirt thru the bait pocket opening. You can use needle nose pliers or any blunt tool of your choice.

Step 2: Remove & Install Ball Insert

Remove the rubber ball insert from the original tail and insert it into the new tail. NOTE: If you lose the rubber ball can substitute with an 8mm bead as long as you can get the bead into the skirt.

Step 3: Install New Tail

Feed the new tail through the bait pocket (tentacles first) with a slight twisting motion and pull snug to securely seat the ball in the socket.

Rigging Installation

Feed the end of the leader thru the rigging hole on the underside of the body. Pull the leader thru until the rubber stop seats. Trim the leader if desired and tie the included high speed swivel to the end of the leader.

Eye Replacement

Place the tip of the hook in eyes bead hole. Use the hook against the body to leverage the eye out of the socket. Hand press your new eye into the eye socket. Adjust the position of the eye with the hook.

Dummy Flasher Setup

The Squid Socket does not require a flasher as it generates its own action. However, if you decide to use a flasher for attracting fish, we recommend a dummy flasher setup shown in the image below. This setup ensures the lures action is not dampened by the flasher and the fights with fish will be amazing!
